Originally, this photo was just a normal picture of a U.S. Air force helicopter with an individual hanging down the flimsy rope ladder. The author of this edit is the Museum of Hoaxes; they had horizontally flipped the pictures and phtoshopped a shark trying to attack the individual hanging down. This was an edit that reached it's "wow " factor since it was "top made" on the internet in 2001.

I agree that the author of this edit was trying to make people in awe of the picture. Sharks are scary!
